2023: TINUBU FUMES AS HE ADDRESSES OGUN APC DELEGATES
• I will not step down for anybody – Tinubu
The APC Governorship Candidate from President Buhari’s State (Katsina State), Hon Dikko Radda, officially joined Asiwaju Bola Tinubu’s Consultation Team to Ogun State to address Ogun APC delegates in the upcoming APC presidential primaries, where the Presidential aspirant, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, expressed his gratitude to the delegates and promised never to step down for any aspirant in the party.
In his words, he said, “If I didn’t lead the war front, Buhari wouldn’t have emerged.” He contested the first, second and third times, but lost. He even said on television that he wouldn’t contest again. “But I went to his home in Katsina. I told him you would contest and win, but you won’t joke with the matters of the Yorubas.”
Buhari offered me a running mate ticket, but some blocks rose against it, fanning the embers of a Muslim-Muslim ticket. I stepped down from my ambition and was asked to submit three names for running mates.
I submitted Yemi Kadoso, Wale Edun, and Yemi Osinbajo, but later settled on Osinbajo as Buhari’s running mate. I’ve never said this before. “This is the first place I am saying this.”
Since he emerged, “I’ve never asked for ANYTHING from the Buhari government. I never asked for a contract. I have not been appointed minister, I have never asked for anything, nothing whatsoever since 2015. “
This time, it’s Yoruba’s turn, and in Yorubaland, “it’s my tenure. “
I’ve been serving them for decades now. Now I want to serve too. This is about mental capacity. Can Dapo, who is sitting behind me, become governor without my help?
“When Obasanjo was dealing with Atiku, it was me Atiku ran to, and I accepted him.” Says Asiwaju
