FOU Zone B Kaduna Comptroller Albashir Hamisu psc (+) has disclosed that his unit between December 22nd, 2021 and January 27th, 2022 seized 856 bags of foreign parboiled rice, 474 kegs of 25 litres each of premium motor spirit (PMS), amongst other items worth N275,989,659.70.

In a parley with newsmen in his office in Kaduna today, January 27, 2022, the Comptroller also disclosed other items seized to include 22 units of vehicles, 92 bales of secondhand clothing, 41 bales of foreign new textiles, 825 cartons of foreign spaghetti and macaroni, 60 pieces of foreign jack knife, 20 cartons of foreign cigarettes, and other general merchandise.

the same event, Comptroller Hamisu handed over to the Representative of the Commander NDLEA, DCN Aliyu Muazu, Deputy State Commander for Operations and Intelligence, NDLEA Kaduna, 250 parcels of Indian hemp earlier arrested by the unit.

Comptroller Hamisu credited success recorded in the period under review to the increased patriotism of members of the public in border communities who now volunteer information to his officers at no cost and also the heightened vigilance of his officers.

He advised other members of the public in the zone to resist the temptations of smuggling and embrace genuine trades and vocations for the economic betterment of Nigeria.
