Bayelsa Youth Association Election to hold 31st January 2025 – Atti Moses

The Transition and Electoral Committee Chairman of Bayelsa Youth Association, Comrade Atti Joshua Moses said, all is now set for the conduct of the association election scheduled to hold 31st January, 2025 in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State capital.
Comrade Atti Joshua Moses made this known while addressing a World Press Conference at the Conference Hall of the United Correspondent Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists along Azikoro Road in Yenagoa on Tuesday, 3rd. November, 2024.
Comrade Atti Joshua Moses stated that sale of forms have commenced and those wishing to contest must be from 18 to 35 years.
According to the Eleco Chairman, other eligibility criteria include HND or BSc for President and other positions while educational qualification to contest Students Representative and Women Leader is Diploma.
On the issue if the Eleco will conduct transparent election devoid of interference and favouritism, Comrade Atti Joshua Moses assured all that the guidelines will be strictly followed particularly the formation of delegates and screening of aspirants will be made transparent.
He emphasized that the aspirants should bear in mind that the positions they are seeking is to contribute their quota to develop the youths in Bayelsa State and the country in general and not for personal gains, and commended Hon. Alfred Kemepade for the various youths programmes he has organized since assumption of office as Commissioner for Youth Development, and described him as seasoned youth administrator.
Comrade Atti Joshua Moses commended Governor Douye Diri for appointing several youths as part of the ASSURED Prosperity Administration and appealed to the miracle Governor to bring more youths onboard and also thanked him for the intervention by releasing millions of naira to the Transmission Company of Nigeria as a measure to restore electricity supply to Bayelsa State.
He noted that the black out experienced close to four months have affected businesses in the state and enjoined other interventionist agencies to support the state government protect critical national assets from vandals, and also commended the Commissioner for Power, Hon.Komuku Akari Kharim for the Press Conference he held assuring that power will be restored within 48 hours.
He expressed gratitude to the Managing Director of Niger Delta Development Commission, Chief(Dr.) Samuel Ogbuku for initiating the solar light revolution that have illuminated several communities in the Niger Delta particularly Bayelsa State and the award of contract to so many youths which he stated is a step in the right direction to carry them along in the scheme of things adding that he should continue to engage the youths as a means of empowerment.
Comrade Atti Joshua Moses noted that Bayelsa Youth Association is very united, focused and poised to project the ideologies of the youths to contribute their quota to societal development.
