DR CREEK VISITS OVORI OF IBESHE
The Medical Director of Igbologun Medical Center, Dr Gbolahan Nureni Sodipo popularly known as Dr Creek paid a condolences visit to HRH Oba Gausu Alani Rasaki, the Ovori OF Ibeshe Kingdom over the demise of his subjects as a result of a capsized boat around Mazaza Mile 2.
The unfortunate incident happened on Friday, 8th July where about 19 persons from the community lost their lives to the boat mishap.
Dr Creek was received by the King in company of some respected Chiefs within Kingdom. The Kabiyesi appreciated his visit and assured him of his Kingdom’s readiness to work with him in the interest of the people.
Dr Creek is a Medical Practitioner that is very passionate and concerned about Healthcare Services across the various riverine communities in Lagos State. This led him to set up medical facilities within Igbologun, Snake Island and Onisiwo Island both in Amuwo Odofin Local Government Area. These medical facilities were set up after his relocation from the United Kingdom so that he could assist indigent people in the riverine communities of Lagos State.
He was very saddened about the unfortunate boat incident that happened at Maza Maza, Mile 2. In his resolve to make Healthcare Services more meaningful in the riverine communities. Him and his management team have concluded plans to have a life-impacting medical fair at Snake Island themed “DECIMATING MORTALITY IN THE RIVERINE COMMUNITY”
The medical fair is a “FREE MEDICAL CONSULTATIONS, FREE AND DISCOUNTED SURGERIES” for about One Thousand (1000) indigent people within the riverine communities in Amuwo Odofin Local Government Area . At the fair, there will be free surgeries for patients with Hernia, Hydroceles and lipoma but very discounted cost for fibroids.
This event is billed to come up sometime in September 2022.
According to Dr Creek, his team will be conducting free and discounted surgeries, free consultations, eye glasses and dental check ups during this medical fair
He hopes government institutions, private organizations, religious bodies and spirited Philanthropists will be supporting this laudable initiative targeted at improving the lives of indigent people within riverine communities in Lagos State.
