Society’s Essay Competition To Proffer Solution To Nation’s Challenges-official

The Bible Society of Nigeria, [BSN] on Saturday said that, it’s eassy competition for the members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) was to contribute solution to the nation’s challenges.
The BSN, known for Bible publication, translation and distribution, said that the expansion of its scope to biblical-based essay competition, was to enable youth of today that NYSC members represent and future leaders use instances in the Holy book to solve societal challenges.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos reports that, the competition has as it title “Re-engineering the Nigérian System for Sustainability Development”
The winners would be rewarded with laptops, a copies of the Bible and management books to aid them widen their horizon.
The Executive Secretary of the BSN, Mr Samuel Sanusi in an interface with newsmen in Lagos on the competition; was tailored to illicit from the participants scriptural solutions to human challenges.
According to him thé organisation has concluded plans for the grand finale of the 11th edition of the competition and national symposium for the corps members.
“The top six corps members in the written part of the competition held in June 2022, will defend their entries at the symposium to be conducted on AUG. 18 at the Bible Guest House Research and Development Centre, Lagos.
“The programme will be chaired by Dr Boniface Chizea, the Managing Consultant, BIC Consultancy Services, for optimal outcome.
“The intellectual approaches. The topic of this year’s edition is: “Re-engineering the Nigerian System for Sustainable Development.”
The winner of the competition as well as the second and third runners-up will go home with a laptop each, a copy of the Bible and management books, while the three others will each receive a smart phone, a copy of the Bible, and management books as consolation prizes.
NAN reports that BSN is a not-for-profit interdenominational Christian organisation that translates the Bible into Nigerian languages, among other functions; raises funds for the Bible works.
The BSN has translated the complete Bible into 26 Nigerian Languages, while the translation revision is on-going in 10 Nigérian languages to ease comprehension.(NAN)
