The All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) has described its growing list of sponsors and partners as a strategic investment in Africa’s creative future—one aimed at building and nurturing the continent’s talents, strengthening cultural pride, and opening new opportunities for young creatives and business collaborations across Africa.

Speaking during the sponsorship announcement held in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, Ms. Edwidge Goli, Director of Partnerships at AFRIMA, said the calibre of sponsors supporting the 9th edition of the awards represents a strong vote of confidence in African music and its global potential.

“This is more than sponsorship. It is a historic show of belief in the power of African music, the brilliance of our talents, and the future of our creative industries,” she said.

Ms. Goli expressed appreciation to the Lagos State Government for once again hosting the prestigious continental event, while also commending the commitment of AFRIMA’s Gold and Silver sponsors, international partners, and media organisations for their continued support.

She noted that the partnerships reflect a shared vision of empowering Africa’s creative ecosystem and positioning the continent’s music industry as a viable driver of economic growth and global cultural influence.

The 9th edition of AFRIMA will officially kick off with the Nominees and Guests Welcome Soirées on January 7. This will be followed by the Africa Music Business Summit (AMBS) on January 8, scheduled to hold at the Eko Convention Centre, Eko Hotels and Suites, Lagos.

On January 9, music lovers will be treated to the AFRIMA Music Village Concert and Diamond Showcase at Ikeja City Mall, ahead of the highly anticipated Grand Awards Ceremony slated for January 11 at the Eko Convention Centre, Eko Hotel, Lagos. The red carpet event will commence at 3:30 p.m. (WAT).

The awards ceremony, featuring major live performances from top African and global artistes, will be broadcast to audiences in over 84 countries worldwide, further reinforcing AFRIMA’s status as the continent’s biggest celebration of African music and creative excellence.
