In a strategic political move, Ambassador Kingsley Enwelim Nwanze has officially returned to the All Progressives Congress (APC), reinforcing the party’s grassroots structures and boosting its visibility in Amuwo Odofin Federal Constituency ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The announcement of Amb. Nwanze’s return was made public through an official statement in Amuwo Odofin, highlighting his renewed commitment to the party where he began his political journey. Known for his expertise as a communicator, political strategist, and development advocate, Nwanze’s temporary departure from APC to serve as Spokesperson to Hon. George Olawande, Representative of Amuwo Odofin, was strictly professional and did not signal any ideological shift.
Political analysts say the return of a figure of Nwanze’s experience is a significant boost for the APC, particularly as it prepares for the 2027 elections. “His re-entry strengthens party cohesion and brings a wealth of communication and strategic expertise that will be invaluable in mobilizing citizens, especially youths and professionals,” said a senior party source who spoke on condition of anonymity.
Amb. Nwanze is expected to collaborate closely with local leaders and other progressive stakeholders to promote issue-driven political communication, amplify the APC’s achievements, and engage constituents in meaningful dialogue about governance and development. The move is widely interpreted as part of the party’s broader strategy to consolidate its structures and enhance its political footprint in Lagos’ Amuwo Odofin Federal Constituency.
The statement also highlighted the key role played by Hon. Rasaq Akorede Olojede, Executive Chairman of Oriade Local Council Development Area, in facilitating Nwanze’s return. Party officials credited Olojede’s leadership and commitment to unity as instrumental in encouraging Nwanze to rejoin the APC fold.
Speaking on his return, Amb. Nwanze expressed gratitude for the reception and reaffirmed his dedication to advancing the party’s vision. “I am humbled by the warm welcome and the trust reposed in me. I am ready to contribute meaningfully to ensure the APC takes its rightful place in Amuwo Odofin in the 2027 elections,” he said.
Observers note that Nwanze’s return is not only symbolic of party unity but also a strategic step to enhance the APC’s narrative and influence within the constituency. With elections approaching, political commentators believe his expertise in communication and mobilization could play a decisive role in shaping voter perception and engagement.
As the APC intensifies preparations for the 2027 general elections, the reintegration of Amb. Nwanze marks a critical moment in the party’s strategy to consolidate grassroots structures, promote positive narratives, and strengthen its electoral base in one of Lagos State’s politically significant constituencies.
