Fake bishops who were seen showing solidarity with the Muslim-Muslim candidacy of the All Progressives Congress have started exposing themselves.

According to a report by the Peoples Gazette, Bola Tinubu’s camp hired some fake bishops to deceive the public that Christians were in support of the Muslim-Muslim ticket, which had caused an uproar among the Christians.

The paper reported how one of the imposters, Joseph Odaudu claimed Mr. Tinubu’s camp broke the agreement to pay them N100,000 for the shady job.

According to Mr. Odaudu, the paper reports said they were approached “at the car park behind Eagles Square” in Abuja, and “they promised to give me N100,000.”

Mr. Odaudu was quoted as saying that the team bought them food and took them to another place where they clothed them in Christian clothes to represent Christian leaders.

“But after we finished, they only gave me N40,000, and another person said they got only N30,000. I don’t know why they changed our agreement because they said they had N100,000 for us.

“I am a Christian, and I am supporting Tinubu, but I hate when people lie and fail to deliver on their promises,” he added,” the fake Bishop talked to Peoples Gazette immediately after the show of shame.

Since Mr. Tinubu picked a Muslim Northerner as a running mate for the 2023 general election on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, the party has received vast criticism from Christian community leaders.

Mr. Daudu said he “didn’t break any law” as his only intention was to show solidarity behind a candidate he supports.

He reportedly said, “No law was broken; we only tried to show Nigerians that Christians are solidly behind Asiwaju Tinubu.”

Catholic leaders had earlier described those who appeared at the Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Centre, Abuja, as imposters.

Christian Association of Nigeria had criticized the Muslim-Muslim ticket and expressed displeasure ahead of the 2023 election.

These reactions had forced the All Progressives Congress to fake solidarity by hiring ordinary citizens picked at various locations to act as Christian leaders.
