Celebrate Ecobank Ellevate “Fantastic Five” Female First Class Graduates – See full Profile

 

 

The Ecobank Ellevate Programme is  designed for businesses owned by women, managed by women, businesses with a high percentage of female board members or employees and companies manufacturing products for women. As part of activities to commemorate this year’s International Women’s Month, Ecobank Ellevate has singled out and celebrated five first class female University graduates. The graduates who are being celebrated for their excellence and distinctive nature, include, Abolaji Awodein, a graduate of Social Works; Nusirat Eniola Yusuf, Economics; Faith Nwachinemere, Estate Management and Anthonia Owani, Economics all from the University of Lagos. Also included is Fisayo Ojo, who graduated from Covenant University with a degree in Computer Science.

PROFILE  OF THE FIRST-CLASS “FANTASTIC FIVE” 

Abolaji Awodein, one of the Ellevate First-Class ladies. She is a young and ambitious Lady who graduated from the University of Lagos as the best graduating student in her department with a First Class (Hons) Degree in Social Work. She also has a Diploma in Social Development and Administration where she also earned a First Class (Hons) degree and was the Best Graduating Student.


The self-published writer published her book “And Then I Met You” in 2018, which sold many copies locally and internationally.


Having discovered her passion for Photography in 2016, she followed her dream to become a portrait, lifestyle, and event photographer and has worked with various individuals, celebrities, and multinational brands.

 

While working as a photographer, Abolaji decided to nurture her long interest in Tech, hence she learned web design and data analytics.

 

Following her course of study and her love for humanity, Abolaji wholeheartedly strives for inclusion, gender equality and equity, and the protection of human rights.

 

 

Nusirat Eniola Yusuf, one of the Ellevate First-Class ladies. She is a young and ambitious Nigerian Economist who graduated with a first class from the prestigious University of Lagos in 2021. She has keen interest in Data analytics and currently works as a Financial Analyst. Outside work, Nusirat can be best described as an individual who is passionate about humanity. She is big on IMPACT, particularly on promoting quality education for the Nigerian child. Nusirat believes in integrity, love, and excellence, and never hesitates to stand for these values wherever she finds herself.

 

Oluwafisayomi Ojo, one of the Ellevate First-Class ladies. She graduated from Covenant University in 2021 with First Class Honors in Computer Science. She believes technology is a vehicle for change and loves building products to make life easier for everyone. Since graduation, she has worked with Bankly.ng, Sobol, and freelances from time to time. As an undergrad, she also co-founded an NGO(TSC) to promote the inclusion of women in Tech.

 

 

Anthonia Nwani, one of the Ellevate First-Class ladies. She is a First Class graduate of Economics who strives to always make an impact. In 2018, she led a team of five to organize a genotype awareness campaign at the University of Lagos where she educated over 800 students and community members about the intricacies of the human genotype. From there, she joined the Vibrant Girls Development Initiative, a non for profit organization with the mission to equip teenage girls with the necessary skills needed to make informed decisions regarding their development which will, in turn, lead to a decline in the prevalent rate of teenage premature sexual activities and gender-based violence. In 2019, Anthonia got selected into the NHEF Scholars Program, a highly competitive program that selects high flying students who have excelled academically and in extracurricular activities, and in 2021, she was selected as a mentor at the NESA Economics Discourse Challenge where she assisted her team in clinching the first prize. Anthonia is committed to personal development and highly devoted to continuous learning with interests in Education for sustainable development, Labor Economics, and Research. In her spare time, she enjoys reading research journals, volunteering, playing basketball, and traveling.

 

 

Nwachinemere FAITH, one of the Ellevate First-Class ladies. She is young, ambitious, and talented lady who having studied Estate Management and earned a distinction at a Diploma level (OND), from Yaba College of Technology, proceeded to obtain her first degree (BSc) in the same course from the Prestigious University of Lagos. She graduated with a first-class (Hons) and was the Best graduating student in the faculty of Environmental sciences. While in school, she represented her Department in the 51st annual quiz competition organized by the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers (NIESV) and came second place. She also obtained supplementary training in Basic Health, Safety and Environment (HSE), Fundamentals of digital marketing and Research.

 

Faith seizes every opportunity to learn something new and grow accordingly. Apart from her academic standing, she is quite a creative person who enjoys acting and social content creation. She is unbelievably into comedy skit making and goes by the name Nenes Comedy. She is a music lover and business-minded person.
