Chivita Responds to Rumours Over Hollandia Yoghurt, Confirms Product Quality Amid Packaging Transition

Chivita | Hollandia has issued a public statement to address rumours circulating about Hollandia Yoghurt, assuring consumers that the product’s quality, taste, and nutritional value remain unchanged, despite the introduction of a new packaging design.
The clarification follows growing speculation triggered by the appearance of redesigned Hollandia Yoghurt packs in the market, which raised concerns among some consumers. In its statement, the company explained that the changes are part of a planned transition to more sustainable and environmentally friendly packaging across its entire product range.
According to Chivita, the packaging update affects not only Hollandia Yoghurt but also Hollandia Milk and various Chivita juice products. The company said the initiative aligns with its long-term commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility, aimed at reducing waste and improving recyclability.
As the rollout continues, Chivita disclosed that consumers may temporarily find both the classic and updated Hollandia Yoghurt packs on store shelves. The company noted that this overlap is expected during the transition period and should not be a cause for concern.
“As we roll out this fresh look, you may see both our classic and updated packs on store shelves,” the statement read.
To help consumers identify the updated packaging, Chivita explained that the new 1-litre packs feature a white bubble at the base containing a QR code and the message “I am recyclable in so many ways.” Smaller pack sizes will also include visible signage indicating the recyclable materials used in producing the cartons.
The company stressed that while the external appearance of the packaging is evolving, the contents remain exactly the same. It reassured customers that the yoghurt’s premium taste, texture, and nutritional quality have not been altered.
“While the outside is evolving to better share our sustainability story, the premium taste and high nutritional quality inside remain the same,” the statement added.
Chivita further emphasized that regardless of whether consumers purchase the classic or updated packaging, they are consuming the same Original Hollandia Yoghurt they have always trusted.
In concluding the statement, the company thanked consumers for their loyalty and support, reaffirming its commitment to delivering high-quality dairy and juice products while embracing more eco-conscious business practices.
