Following the Corporate Social Responsibilities of the Banking Industry, the Niger State Bankers’ Committee, led by Mr. Saeed Moh’d Ademola, CBN Branch Controller, Minna, Niger State, today 25th May, donated a Sharon Volkswagen Patrol vehicle to the Minna Police Area Command Unit of the Niger State Police Command.

While presenting the vehicle to the Commissioner of Police, Niger State Command, ably represented by the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Administration DCP Aminu M. Garba, the Branch Controller appreciated the effort of the Police Command in ensuring adequate security of all commercial banks in the State, most especially in Minna metropolis, including the CBN; therefore, the Bankers’ Forum felt the need to contribute and support the Police with the gesture of providing the vehicle to aid the routine patrol of the Area Command. He also asserted that more of this support would come soonest.

The CP, in his remarks on behalf of the IGP, officers, and men of the Command, commended the Bankers’ Forum for such a kind gesture and the promise of effective utilisation and good maintenance of the vehicle to boost the patrol capacity of the Area Command and Niger State Police Command as a whole, as he equally encouraged them to do more, stating that this should not be the beginning and the end of such a gesture.

He urged other corporate bodies and well-to-do individuals in the state to emulate such gestures and support the police and other security agencies in ensuring a more secure environment for economic growth and development in our immediate communities.
