DR. OLOWOJEBUTU BECOMES AARE AREMOLEKUN OF THE SOURCE, IFE ANCIENT KINGDOM
The Ancient Kingdom of Ife went agog as Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi; (Ọjájá II) confers Aare Aremolekun Oodua of the source on Dr. Benjamin Olowojebutu, Chairman UNILAG Alumni Lagos Branch and Founder, Benjamin Olowojebutu Foundation.
The ancient city went agog on the 1st of May, 2022 as it hosted distinguished personalities from all walks of life including scores of Unilag Alumni at the Ooni’s Palace as the chairman of the Lagos Branch of the Unilag Alumni, Dr Benjamin Oluwatosin Olowojebutu was conferred with the title Aare Aremolekun Oodua of the source.
You will recall that it was in the news earlier that Dr. Jebz as he is fondly called in December 2021 earlier received emissaries from His Imperial Majesty, Ooni Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi Ojaja 11 who had notified him of the honour to bestow on him the prestigious title in Yoruba Land.
This title is in recognition of Dr Olowojebutu’s humanitarian services for indigent African particularly Nigerians. The respectable personality who have given hope to more than 10,000 Nigerians majorly women through his Free Surgeries Program under the auspices of Benjamin Olowojebutu Foundation.
So, May 1st 2022 remains a very historic day as the Unilag trained Lagos based Surgeon and philanthropist who doubles as chairman of the Lagos Branch of Unilag Alumni had his honorary title formalized.
Prayers, encouragements, and testimonies about philanthropy-medics were at the center of the gist of the event.
In attendance from the UNILAG Alumni community are Dr. Micheal Oloyede, Deputy Dean 1 Students Affairs Unilag, Fmr National Publicity Secretary of the Alumni Association, Hon.Francis Shonubi a.k.a Mani kongo, General Secretary Lagos Branch of the Alumni, Mr. Ebun Oluranti a.k.a Olupeople his Treasurer counterpart, Comr. Taoheed Salvador, CEO Abidek Prints, Hon. Abidemi Sholaja among several others graced the event to honour the Alumni Chairman.
As usual our Chairman gifted Ooni a painting befitting of the throne .
The highlight of the installation was when a young lady came to the Ooni to say she had sent over 200 patients to BOF and they were fixed by Dr Benjamin without even knowing him. These testament were heartwarming to Ojaja II Oba Enitan Adeseye Ogunwusi.
It’s a clarion call for us to keep doing the best to add value to humanity as Dr Benjamin will alway say “Love is the Expression of the ASSIGNMENT”
