Following widespread concerns over the poor performance of students in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), digital solutions company Globacom has introduced its Examination Preparatory Service to help students excel in Computer-Based tests.

The company explained that the service is designed to provide students with practical tools for success in exams such as JAMB, WAEC (Junior & Senior), A-Levels, and IELTS.

The 2025 UTME results, released on May 5, showed that over 1.5 million candidates out of 1.9 million scored below 200, raising concerns among stakeholders. A deeper breakdown of the results revealed that 50.29% of candidates scored between 160-199, while 24.97% scored between 140-159.

To help students improve their performances, Globacom stated in a press release in Lagos that its Glo Examination Preparatory Service provides:

  • Access to targeted practice materials to familiarize students with exam formats.

  • Coverage of 20 subjects alongside educational videos and learning resources.

  • Subscription options via *20791*6# for daily, weekly, or monthly content.

  • Trivia questions based on exam syllabi, with top scorers winning airtime, data, and cash prizes.

The service aims to boost students’ confidence, strengthen their understanding of key concepts, and equip them with effective exam-taking strategies.

According to Glo, users can select their intended exam category upon subscription, choosing from options such as JSCE (Junior Secondary Certificate Exam), SSCE (Senior Secondary Certificate Exam), UTME (JAMB), and A-Levels.

Customers who sign up for the service will gain insights on exam structures, question types, and practical tips for better performance, ultimately enhancing long-term retention and comprehension.

With poor exam performance continuing to be a challenge, Glo’s initiative offers a structured approach to help students achieve better results.
