The event was birthed out of a mandate to nurture and equip the next generation of Christians to live and breathe the word of God. The visionary behind this initiative, Pastor and Mrs. Bright Bertha Ubani, founders of The Word Therapy Ministry (TWTM), are on a mission to revolutionize the Christian community through the living word.

Their mandate is clear: To raise a new breed of Christians who will live and breathe the word of God. Their passion is palpable as they strive to create a platform where young Christians can grow and thrive in their faith. It was an interdenominational event, where teenagers from different Churches in Lagos and neighboring Ogun State participated. The first edition of BRS 2024 was a resounding success, with Miss Esther Chukwunneke reigning supreme as the queen.

The winner of BRS 2025 is SSS3 teenager Miss Chinwendu Chukwudi, who demonstrated an extraordinary calm disposition, delivering her recitations with confidence and poise. She walked away with a handsome cash prize of N150,000 and a trophy.

Miss Oluchi Chukwunneke took home the 1st runner-up prize, cashing N100,000. Interestingly, Miss Oluchi, is the younger sister of BRS 2024 winner Miss Esther Chukwunneke. Miss Mercy Adeola Olawole from Ogun State secured third place, winning N70,000. All contestants received consolation cash gifts and certificates of participation.

When asked about her win, Queen Chinwendu humbly said, “I just prepared to give my best.” The convener emphasized and encourage the contestant that it’s not about winning, but about being indwelt by the word of God.
The event was dominated by the girls, with the boy’s contestants not winning any of the top trophies. The ministry looks forward to the next edition, eager to witness the impact of this life-changing event on the lives of many.
