The Deputy Majority Leader of the Lagos State House of Assembly and lawmaker representing Ikeja Constituency II, Hon. (Prince) Adedamola Richard Kasunmu (ARK), has congratulated the new police boss, Mr. Tunji Disu on his appointment and confirmation as the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
In a congratulatory message released on Monday, Hon. Kasunmu described the new Police boss as a seasoned, disciplined, and result-oriented officer whose professional track record inspires confidence in the security architecture of the nation.
According to the ranking lawmaker, the elevation of IGP Disu is a testament to years of dedication, competence, and unwavering commitment to national service.
“Your appointment to the exalted office of Inspector-General of Police is well-deserved.
Your distinguished service record, operational experience, and demonstrated leadership capacity have prepared you for this critical national assignment,” Kasunmu stated.

He expressed optimism that under IGP Disu’s leadership, the Nigeria Police Force will witness renewed professionalism, enhanced intelligence-driven operations, and strengthened public trust.
Hon. Kasunmu further noted that security remains fundamental to democratic stability, economic growth, and social development. He therefore urged the new IGP to sustain reforms aimed at improving community policing, internal discipline, and modern security strategies across the country.
