Afro-dancehall legend Inetimi Alfred Odom, famously known as Timaya, recounted a remarkable moment involving Grammy-winning star Burna Boy and celebrated songstresses Omawumi and Waje.

During an engaging interview with Naija FM, Lagos, Timaya shared the story of a fiery studio session years ago in Lekki, Lagos.

He recalled Burna Boy, filled with confidence and vision, boldly proclaiming that he would one day achieve the level of success that would have him flying on private jets.

Timaya revealed that Burna Boy’s confidence, while inspiring, was met with skepticism from Omawumi and Waje, who, according to him, doubted the young artist’s ambitious declaration.

Fueled by an unshakable belief in his future, Burna Boy refused to tolerate their doubts and reportedly asked them to leave the studio.

Timaya described the incident as a pivotal moment in Burna’s journey, highlighting the artist’s unwavering determination to realize his dreams despite the odds.

Timaya said; “Nothing Burna Boy is doing now surprises me. The guy is fearless. There was one time when Burna Boy, Omawumi and Waje were in the studio, and he (Burna Boy) started saying that a time would come when he would be getting paid to enter jet.

“Omawumi and Waje started doubting him because then Nigerian artists hadn’t started flying private jets. He got angry and opened the studio door and asked them to leave.
