JUST IN: Funeral Mass Begin With Heavy Security Presence As Owo Massacre Victims Laid to Rest

As the funeral service for victims of the June 5, 2022, attack in St Francis Catholic Church, Owo, holds today Friday. June 17, pictures of the 40 worshippers have emerged.
The worshippers were killed by gunmen on June 5 while several others were injured.
Midas Hotel Owo, the venue of the church service is manned by security operatives including military personnel, men of the Nigerian police force, operatives of Nigeria and civil defense corps, and men of the Amotekun corps.
Those who attended the service were thoroughly checked before they gained entry to the venue
Expected to grace the service are governor Rotimi Akeredolu and top government officials.
The pictures and names of the 40 worshippers who died at the ugly incidence have emerged. The pictures were released by the Church in the printed copy of the programme of event of the funeral service.
The mass burial for the victims will hold immediately after the service.
