Murder of Sheriff Salami Ishola

The first victim, Sheriff Salami Ishola, 37, was allegedly murdered on April 18, 2023, at approximately 3:00 p.m. in Moba Town, Eti-Osa LGA.

CP Jimoh stated, “The deceased was dragged into an isolated building by Safiu Fatai, Yusuf Ismaila, Soji Mascot, and Kenny. He was held down and shot several times. He died on the spot.” The suspects reportedly used locally fabricated pistols, an axe, and machetes in the attack.

According to CP Jimoh, “The same suspects confessed to being part of the gang that killed Prince Ademola Akinloye in similar circumstances with the first murder. The gang carried out the killing in broad daylight along Chevron Road.”

Both killings were allegedly carried out on the instructions of Alhaji Ahmed Tajudeen Akanbi, 38, CEO/MD of HAMTAJAK & HALROMALK, Ajiran, Eti-Osa LGA, Lagos State.

According to CP Jimoh, “the two principal suspects confessed that Alhaji Ahmed Tajudeen Akanbi paid the suspects a total of ₦2 million after the first murder and promised them other opportunities, including travel abroad and positions in society. He is now declared wanted for his role in both murders.”
