Lagos Police Declares Ahmed Tajudeen Akanbi, 3 others wanted, detains 2 suspects over murders of Sheriff Ishola & Prince Ademola Akinloye in Eti-Osa

The Nigeria Police, Lagos State Command has declared Alhaji Ahmed Tajudeen Akanbi wanted for allegedly sponsoring the murder of two persons in the Eti-Osa area of Lagos. He was declared wanted alongside 3 other suspects who allegedly perpetrated the murder. The case which has been long-standing since Years 2023 and 2024 was reopened upon the emergence of fresh evidence linking the Tajudeen Akanbi and his criminal gang to the incidents.

In a press briefing attended by some members of the National Association of Online Security News Publishers, NAOSNP yesterday at the Police command headquarters in Ikeja, the Commissioner of Police, CP Olohundare Jimoh ‘declares Alhaji Ahmed Tajudeen Akanbi 38 yrs, CEO/ MD HAMTAJAK and HALROMALK Ajiran, Eti Osa LGA, Lagos State, last known address; Victoria Bay (Gate one) Royal Pine Estate, Orchid road, Ikota, Lekki, Eti Osa LGA,
Lagos state wanted for the murder of i. Sheriff Salami ishola, 37 yrs, gruesomely murdered on 18/4/23 at Moba town in Eti Osa, Lagos State, and ii. Prince Ademola Akinloye, 38 yrs, gruesomely murdered on 26/8/24 along
Chevron road Ajiran, Eti Osa LGA, Lagos State. The declaration includes one Soji Mascot, Kenny and Bode.’

Speaking further, the CP hinted that: ‘Although, the murder cases happened in 2023 and 2024 before the Commissioner of Police, CP Olohundare Jimoh assumed office, the cases were reopened when new facts emerged as to the perpetrator of the crime.’

The Commissioner of Police subsequently directed a further discreet and thorough investigation and this yielded result in the arrest of Safiu Fatai aka Fabo on the 24/1/2026 and Yusuf Ismaila aka Bariga on 6/2/2026
After a thorough painstaking examination of the fact and other prima facie evidences linking and connecting Ahmed Tajudeen Akanbi 38yrs, Soji Mascot and one other Kenny.

The two principal suspects Yusuf Ismaila aka Bariga and Safiu Fatai aka Fabo who are both currently in Police custody have confessed to the crime and admitted that they carried out the killing on the order and instruction of one Ahmed Tajudeen Akanbi 38yrs, who hired them to kill the deceased victims, that is, Sheriff Salami ishola, 37 yrs, killed on 18/4/23 at Moba
town in Eti Osa at around 3pm and Prince Ademola Akinloye, 38 yrs, killed 26/8/24 along Chevron road Ajiran, Eti Osa LGA.

The Commissioner of Police urged the members of the public of Lagos state and other states of the federation or across the world to report
any of the declared wanted persons if seen to the nearest Police station or through distress call numbers 07061019374, 08065154338, 08063299264, 08039344870 and 09168630929.
