The National Assembly has announced that one of its employees died on Monday as a result of a fall at the complex.
It expressed sorrow for Mr. Abdul Olajide Abayomi’s premature demise, who slumped and died.
Dr. Emmanuel Agada, the National Assembly’s Director of Information, acknowledged the occurrence in answer to a query from The Nation, and termed the development as sad.
“I just confirmed awhile ago the incidence of one of our freshly recruited personnel who slipped from the stairwell on the second floor of the White House, housing the Senate and House of Representatives chambers, and suffered a deadly fall,” Agada stated.
