National Association of Online Security News Publishers Holds her First Security Reporting Workshop for Journalists
A frontline security news group, the National Association of Online Security News Publishers (NAOSNP), in conjunction with the Nigerian Police Force, Zone 2 Command, Lagos, has concluded plans to host a one day training programme on security reporting for journalists and other media stakeholders.
The programme, according to a statement signed by the Association’s Public Relations Officer Mr Eric Elezuo, is scheduled to hold at the prestigious Golden Gate Restaurant, in the heart of Ikoyi, Lagos, on Wednesday, May 11, 2021.
The statement quoted the president of the group, Mr Samson Oki, as saying that the meeting will avail journalists and media practitioners the opportunity to get firsthand the rudiments of reporting security related matters, especially as the country is currently facing security issues, and call on media men including photojournalists, correspondents, editors, reporters and publishers alike to take advantage of the rare opportunity.
The PRO, also informed that notable security experts in various fields of endeavours will be on hand to educate participants from the wells of security knowledge, as well as proffer solutions to the myriads of security challenges bedeviling the country presently.
Among those shortlisted for the event are the CEO, Badinson Security, Mr Matthew Ibadin; Chairman, NBA-SPIDEL, Dr Monday Ubani; Executive Director, Media Development Network, Mr. Lekan Otufodunrin and a host of others.
Lending credence to the workshop, the Chief host of the event and Assistant Inspector General, Zone 2, Adeleke A. Bode, said the gathering will be one of a kind.
The statement added that corporate bodies across sectors have identified with the event with a promise to make it memorable.
The workshop begins at 10am.
