NERC Reduces Band A Tariff From N225/kWh To N206.80

The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) has reduced the electricity tariff of customers on Band A from N225 per kilowatt hour (kwh) to N206.80/kwh with effect from May 6, 2024.

 

This was confirmed in a statement made available to New Telegraph on Monday by the Head of Corporate Communication, Ikeja Electric Plc, Mr Kingsley Okotie.

 

Ikeja Electric also had in a public notice to its customers informed them of the tariff downward review. The notice was entitled: May 2024 supplementary order on tariff increase on Band A feeders.

 

It read: “Dear Esteemed Customers, “Please be informed of the downward tariff review of our Band A feeders from N225/kwh to N206.80/kwh effective 6th May 2024 with guaranteed availability of 20-24hrs supply daily.

 

“The tariff for Bands B, C, D, and E remains unchanged.”
