Police launched a search for a lady who said she slept with a dog for N1.7M
The Nigeria Police Force has launched a search for the viral lady who claimed to have slept with a dog in a tiktok video.
The lady had earlier shared a video on the popular video-sharing application, Tiktok, saying that she slept with a dog and that it was no big deal.
People’s Voice earlier reported the video, showing how she expressed herself that sleeping with a dog was not a big deal and that she made N1.7 million just for doing the act.
Although the lady in question released another video shortly after the first video went viral, claiming that she was only “catching a cruise” (a slang term used to describe an act done to gain social media attention).
However, the Police Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, said posting bestial-natured videos online won’t be tolerated by the force, and they vow to apprehend the lady.
In a statement by the PRO, he said, “I really want us to take necessary action on these ladies that are involved in unnatural offences (including bestiality) and post them online.” We want to urge you to give us any useful information on how to get these ladies. Please help us to fish them out.”
Commenting specifically on the action of the lady setting the Internet ablaze, Adejobi said, “We will get her.”
Nigerians have expressed worry over the perceived new trend of some immoral ladies engaging in the act of sleeping with dogs for money. Aside from several objections based on morality, many also fear the spread of infections within the Nigerian populace.
Legally speaking, lawyers explained that the Criminal Code Act and the Penal Code Act of Nigeria criminalise sleeping with an animal and that the act attracts up to 14 years of imprisonment in Nigeria.
News of women sleeping with dogs also appeared on several other social media sites, such as Twitter, during the weekend. In an article by PULSE, some of the dangers of the act were analysed to be capable of killing humans.
Rabies, which is transmitted by the saliva of dogs, horses, and cats, is capable of killing humans if not treated quickly.
Others, such as Echinococcosis and Leptospirosis, are transmissible and capable of killing human beings.
The reproductive organs of dogs are also said to be like a bulb that could injure the human reproductive system and subsequently cause death.
