The core of a leader, as believed infallibly across all cultures and professions, is to make a promise and stand by it. On this note, I will join other persons of good conscience to thank the Distinguished Senator representing Ondo South District, Dr. (Sen) Ibrahim Jimoh, CFR, for appointing Mr. Onawumi Kehinde, aka Ayo Chris, as his Media Director.
Indeed, it is an appointment too many for members of the Aseyori Family and the entire South Senatorial District. Again, the Distinguished Senator has proved all naysayers wrong and given us a clear picture of the wonderful days that lies ahead for every indigene and resident of the Ondo South senatorial district and beyond.
In this clear light, according to PJ Cullingwood, “Knowing yourself is knowing what you can do. No man knows what he can do until he tries; the only clue to what man can do is what man has done.” We are resolute in our beliefs that it is a new dawn with a difference in Ondo South Senatorial District, and the maxim “Aseyori” will resonate in all areas of the district without leaving any stone unturned.
By this appointment and many others that are in the offing have reaffirmed the truth that “Leaders are ladders, which loyal and hardworking followers climb to the top.” To us, it is not about the juicy package nor the resplendence of the office, but the opportunity to identify talents and offer them a solid pedestal to the acme of their career and a reward for excellence.
And to my own personal person, Mr. Onawumi, I say big congratulations to you for the new garland and star added to your ranks as a “pen pusher.” I have no doubts about your proven capacity, integrity, honesty, loyalty, expertise, and finesse as a fine gentleman and genius.
On the castle of my skin, permit me to remind you that, like Archimedes cried, “Give me a solid spot to stand and I will move the earth,” the movement of the entire South District and humanity at large is saddled with your pen, which is mightier than the sword.
In conclusion, I will use this medium again to congratulate our Distinguished Senator, Dr. (Sen) Ibrahim Jimoh, CFR, for making the right choice by appointing one of our own for the job and others to come as promised. And to my friend and brother, Ayo Chris, I wish you Divine Wisdom and Grace to deliver your duties to the best of your abilities.
