Records have it that the Nigeria Senate is the upper chamber of Nigeria’s National Assembly. (popularly referred to as NASS) is the nation’s highest legislature and has the power to make laws, as summarized in Chapter one, Section four (4) of the 1999 Constitution of Nigeria.
To work effectively and optimally, the need to induct the Senators-elect becomes imperative. Induction is an opportunity for parliamentarians to welcome new members elect, to give them orientation, to help them settle in, and ensure they have the knowledge and support they need to perform their roles.
The objective of the induction exercise is to expose Senators and Members-Elect to the functions, rules, and regulations of the National Assembly and its practices and procedures, as well as the services available to them.
The media secretary to Àṣeyọrí Media Team, Com. Odofin Oluwafemi (C-Banking), in his press release, said, “After four days of intensive training, the Senator-elect representing the good people of Ondo South senatorial district, Dr. Ibrahim Jimoh, CFR, received his certificate of participation at Ladi Kwali Hall, Abuja International Hotel (formerly Sheraton Hotels and Towers).
