OTUNBA
SAM EREJUWA: ENOUGH IS ENOUGH, PAY US OUR OSOPADEC BURSARY – FELGOS

The Federation of Ese-Odo Local Government Students (FELGOS) has officially challenged the OSOPADEC Chairman, Otunba Sam Erejuwa, for non-remittance of students’ bursaries for 2018/2019 academic section.

In a press release e-signed to People’s Voice Nigeria News by the association president, Sam Ojudoh Dickson, he said OSOPADEC, under the watch of Otunba Sam Erejuwa, has failed to make any payment and the association hereby requests that the subtential Chairman of the Commission (OSOPADEC) should pay all 2018/2019 bursary beneficiaries within the stipulated time frame.

According to the president, for the past one year and 10 months, students from mandated areas have patiently awaited the stipend, and it’s on our best knowledge that the commission has taken no action.

Students from this zone use this little token to pay for some of our most pressing needs and second-most wants. It seems the commission apparently and joyfully left out students’ entitlement irrespective of the huge allocation entering the board treasury. Samuel said.

Last week, some aggrieved students went to my father’s residence at New Jerusalem, Arogbo in the Ese-Odo Local Government Area and destroyed my father’s properties all because of bursary payment being very delayed by the commission. I travelled down to Akure to meet government officials and to no avail. Enough is enough.

On this note, on behalf of the FELGOS, I, Sam Ojudoh Dickson, president of FELGOS, hereby present our demands as stated below.

1. The Chairman of the commission, Otunba Sam Erejuwa, must pay all beneficiaries in full on or before Thursday, May 12th.

2. Immediately publish the beneficiaries’ names who have been paid.

3. Inclusion of eligible students screened out by the commission during the exercise, or else the ENDSAR PROTEST becomes a game.
