PASSPORT REFORMS: IMMIGRATION REDEPLOYS 15 PASSPORT CONTROL OFFICERS

The acting Comptroller General of Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Caroline Wuraola Adepoju has approved the immediate redeployment of over a dozen Passport Control Officers in a bid to deepen the ongoing Passport reform process. National Association of Online Security News Publishers, NAOSNP learned that the deployment is part of NIS management’s drive to upgrade the Passport administration both at home and in our foreign Missions.
The Ag CGI assured that the current leadership of the Service remains resolute in its commitment to transforming Passport offices into customer-centric service centres.
Further, the Acting CGI Adepoju enjoined all affected officers in the redeployment to bring their wealth of experience to their new offices, and contribute to the improvement of service delivery. She emphasized the importance of ‘service above self’.
In the Posting Order, signed by the Ag. Deputy Comptroller General in charge of Human Resource Management, Usman Babangida, the affected Passport offices included, Alausa and Festac both in Lagos, as well as the ones in Edo, Anambra, Bayelsa, Kogi, Nassarawa, Plateau, Enugu, Abia, Kano, Taraba and Ondo, among others.
In a press statement e-signed and released to NAOSNP by ACI Kenneth Kure of the Public relations unit also affirmed that the Ag. CGI is committed to assigning only the most capable and dedicated individuals to sensitive positions.
