Chief Dozie, aged 85, leaves behind an enduring legacy of vision and leadership in Nigeria’s economic growth and development.
As the founder of Diamond Bank and the pioneer Chairman of MTN Nigeria, Chief Dozie played a pivotal role in shaping two transformative sectors: banking and telecommunications. His contributions significantly expanded financial inclusion and mobile connectivity across Nigeria, impacting millions of lives.
Beyond his remarkable corporate achievements, Chief Dozie was a devoted public servant. He served as a director at the Central Bank of Nigeria, President of the Nigerian Stock Exchange, and Chairman of the Nigerian Economic Summit Group. Throughout his career, he worked tirelessly on national policy formulation, private sector development, and youth empowerment, embodying a steadfast belief in Nigeria’s potential for greatness.
