Seraphic Psychiatric Hospital: Bringing Hope to the Streets

By The People’s Voice Nigeria News

Across Nigeria, thousands of individuals living with mental health challenges struggle to survive on the streets, often without access to care, shelter, or basic medical support.

In response, Seraphic Homes Foundation, founded by Evangelist Ebuka Obi, Spiritual Director of Zion Prayer Movement Outreach, has established Seraphic Psychiatric Hospital in Aguleri, Anambra State. The facility provides free psychiatric care, rehabilitation, accommodation, and feeding to mentally challenged individuals rescued from the streets.

The foundation’s outreach program has already rescued more than 20 individuals from various parts of Anambra and Imo States, with plans to expand across Enugu, Abia, Ebonyi, and eventually all six geopolitical zones of Nigeria.

At Seraphic Psychiatric Hospital, our mission is to restore dignity and hope to some of the most vulnerable members of society, the foundation said. Through comprehensive medical care and social rehabilitation, we aim to give these individuals a second chance at life.

The initiative also targets untreated mental health conditions, providing sustained medical intervention while reintegrating beneficiaries into society wherever possible.
