THE NIGERIA INSTITUTE OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERS VISITS THE CIERED KNOWLEDGE ECONOMY HUB

The Nigeria Institute of Mechanical Engineers (Ogun State) recently paid an industrial visit to the Centre for Industrial Engineering Research and Economic Development (CIERED) Knowledge Economy Hub.

 

The delegation of NIMechE led by the Chapter Chairman, Engr. Dr. Adekunle Musa-Olokuta, was warmly received by the Director General of CIERED, Engr. Dr. ‘Tobi Adeuyi. During the meeting, representatives from both organizations discussed various aspects of their respective fields, including emerging trends, challenges, and opportunities. The focus of the discussion was on identifying potential areas of collaboration between the two organizations that could benefit both industries.

 

The Centre for Industrial Engineering Research and Economic Development is a leading research institution that conducts cutting-edge research in the field of industrial engineering and promoting technological advancement. The Nigeria Institute of Mechanical Engineers, on the other hand, is a division of the Nigerian Society of Engineers that represents the interests of mechanical engineers across the country and the development of Mechanical Engineering Profession.

 

At the end of the meeting, both organizations agreed to collaborate on a range of initiatives, including joint research projects, training and development programs, and knowledge-sharing activities.

 

Speaking after the meeting, representatives from both organizations expressed their excitement about the potential collaboration and the visitation. They noted that the collaboration would help advance the respective fields and lead to the development of new technologies and innovations.

 

The Center for Industrial Engineering Research and Economic Development and the Nigeria Institute of Mechanical Engineers will work on finalizing the details of the collaboration. The details of their collaborations will be made public soon, as they work together toward their shared goals.
