Tinubu Deceived Nigerians About Removal Of Fuel Subsidy

By People’s Voice Nigeria | News

Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy of Nigeria, Wale Edun, admitted that FG is still paying fuel subsidy despite the emphatic removal by Pres. Tinubu last year that led to an increase in retail price of fuel.

FGN is now even paying more for subsidy than in previous years.

FG spent N3.6trilion in 2023, and are expected to spend N5.4trn for 2024 on subsidy.

All of this was found in the Accelerated Stabilization and Advancement Plan (ASAP) presented to President Tinubu by the finance minister, Wale Edun, on Tuesday.
