Union Bank of Nigeria has strengthened its commitment to professional excellence and regulatory compliance as several members of its brand and marketing team were formally inducted as Registered Advertising Practitioners of Nigeria by the Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCON).

The induction ceremony, held at the Stallion Plaza, Marina, Lagos, brought together senior officials of ARCON and Union Bank executives in a significant moment that underscores the growing synergy between the banking and advertising sectors.

Seated in the front row during the ceremony were the Chief Brand and Marketing Officer of Union Bank, Mrs. Olufunmilola Aluko; the Director-General of ARCON, Dr. Olalekan Olumuyiwa Fadolapo; and ARCON’s Director of Regulation, Monitoring and Enforcement, Mrs. Emme Akande.

Standing behind them were key members of Union Bank’s strategic communications and marketing team, including the Head of Strategic Brand Management, Alvin Agorom; Head of Product Marketing, Ejiebhen Egbomondion; and Head of Strategic Communications and Media, Olufisayo Adelekun, alongside other Union Bank inductees.

The induction signifies that the executives have met the professional standards and regulatory requirements set by ARCON, empowering them to practice advertising in Nigeria in accordance with industry ethics and statutory guidelines.

Speaking at the event, ARCON officials reiterated the Council’s commitment to strengthening professionalism, ethical standards, and regulatory compliance within Nigeria’s advertising ecosystem. The registration of corporate marketing leaders from institutions such as Union Bank reflects the evolving landscape where brand custodians are expected to operate within structured professional frameworks.

For Union Bank, the development reinforces its strategic focus on brand governance, responsible marketing communications, and alignment with national regulatory standards. The bank continues to position itself as a forward-thinking financial institution that prioritizes transparency, professionalism, and stakeholder trust.

The induction ceremony further highlights the importance of collaboration between regulators and corporate institutions in deepening standards across Nigeria’s marketing communications industry.
