Super Eagles midfielder, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru in preparation for the game against South Africa is eagerly anticipating the opportunity to play for the Super Eagles in front of home fans.

 

The Hatayspor midfielder, included in Nigeria’s squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Benin Republic, is making his first return to Nigeria in 20 years.

 

Born in England, Dele-Bashiru expressed his pride in representing Nigeria, highlighting the significance for his family and the country’s vast population. “Playing for Nigeria means everything to me,” he said. “I’m always proud to represent the national team.”
