The spokesmen for Otunba George Olawande Adegeye, Labour Party Candidate at Amuwo Odofin Federal Constituency, Amb. Kingsley Enwelim Nwanze, a.k.a. Papa Wemba, responded to Yomi Adejumo’s article on Western, PLS, and George.
Kingsley, in his press statement, issued a warning to Adejumo, stating that he should mind his portfolio at the local council and allow APC to decide who will best represent the interests of the party at the green chamber.
Amb. Kingsley’s statement read, “In my usual manner, I hardly don’t respond to statements, especially ones that are greedily laced with wicked emotions.” I don’t know why it’s always difficult for some people to mind their business and carry on with their lives according to the dictates they find suitable.
Yomi Adejumo’s article on Western, PLS, and George is obviously jaundiced with toxic emotion. What makes Western and PLS members of the same family even in politics, particularly in Amuwo Odofin? Please If there are any, I want to be educated about them. Even the politics of the All Progressives Congress in Amuwo Odofin, PLS, and Western are not of the same species. I am well equipped to enlighten you about the different families and their political cultures in the All Progressives Congress, Amuwo Odofin Chapter.
I can convincingly tell you that PLS was imported into the All Progressives Congress in 2019 when he participated in the APC House of Representatives primaries election, which he eventually lost to Hon Risikat Ajoke Adegeye (Mama Geye), our living Political Amazon and mother to my present principal and the Labour Party’s candidate for the Federal House of Representatives in Amuwo Odofin, Otunba George Olawande Adegeye (Omo Geye).
I want to quickly remind you that PLS met me in the All Progressives Congress, Amuwo Odofin Chapter, of which I am still a stakeholder until I decide otherwise.Unfortunately, I won’t relinquish my membership because I am only offering my professional services as a media and public communication expert to Otunba George Olawande Adegeye, who is the people’s choice for the seat of the Federal House of Representatives in Amuwo Odofin Federal Constituency by 2023.
It is so unfortunate for anyone to de-escalate Omo Geye’s comprehension of Amuwo Odofin’s politics. PLS comes a distant far from Omo Geye when it comes to Amuwo Odofin’s politics. Yomi, with a good sense of modesty, I want to remind you that PLS met Otunba George Olawande Adegeye in the politics of Amuwo Odofin. This fact he will never deny, and Providence has made it possible to resonate this fact in 2023.
As a moral compass for public guidance had expected, you will mind your portfolio at the Local Government Council and your professional engagement, then allow the teeming public, even members of the All Progressives Congress, to decide who will best represent their interests at the Green Chamber. I can assure you that the good people of Amuwo Odofin Federal Constituency, including members of the All Progressives Congress, would vote overwhelmingly for Omo Geye.
This is the God-ordained time for Omo Geye to rescue the constituents of Amuwo Odofin Federal Constituency from the wicked claws of selfish and portfolio politicians who place a higher premium on themselves than others. He has a comprehensive understanding of our plight as a people and is ready to use the net worth of his networks to put smiles on our faces.
Despite all the efforts to frustrate his good intentions for the good people of Amuwo Odofin Federal Constituency. He still got the Labour Party ticket for the Federal House of Representatives. This is the testimony of God’s positive response to the constituents of Amuwo Odofin Federal Constituency. We have suffered enough from poor presentation and representation at the Federal House of Representatives.
Hon. Oghene has given his fair share of representation in the last eight (8) years. It is time for Omo Geye to positively change the narratives for leadership and legislative representation in Amuwo Odofin. Let’s look beyond the veil of partisan and self modulated interest politics and vote in an unprecedented manner, electing Otunba George Olawande Adegeye (Omo Geye) as our pragmatic representative at the Federal House of Representatives in 2023.
Yomi, I will always appreciate your brotherly concern, but not at the expense of my professional engagement, because I am not into politics to be enslaved by any politician. I am into politics to use my dexterous ability and creative intellect to impact the people positively. This has been the ideological underpinning of my politics since my days as the secretary general of the University of Lagos Students Union in 2003. I am religiously and devotedly a progressive, pro-people politician, not a blindly partisan one.
As for your fear for my safety, my life has been shielded in the hands of God, and no one born of a woman can take it before God’s timing. I am daily prepared for death, but I won’t die so soon as the grace of God is sufficient for me.
Anyone who is desperate for political office is obviously too empty to offer any meaningful service to the people. We at the Omo Geye Campaign Organization are not competing with any candidate; rather, we have offered our services to the good people of Amuwo Odofin Federal Constituency.
