In line with the celebration of Nigeria Independence Day, Barr. Fadeshola Ojamomi, ACICRN, the SDP Candidate at the Ondo State House Assembly, Ilaje Constituency 1, loud the contribution of Gwama Generals among others to Ilaje freedom.
While congratulating the people of Ilaje for their total freedom, he gave kudos to the bravery of Ilaje Hero’s (OGO-ILAJÉs), pointing out that they are the reason the people of Ilaje are celebrating Independence Day.
Barr. Fadeshola Ojamomi, ACICRN, wrote in his press statement e-signed and released to people’s Voice Nigeria News, “Independence should ordinarily and naturally begat development.” A society that is dependent is like a body without spirit. An independent society should be a free society that respects and enhances the freedom of others.
While we count our blessings at 62, we must acknowledge the bottlenecks we are currently bedeviled with. The problems that have engulfed us are a result of bad leadership and an absolute disregard for equity and justice.
We have continually fought for the little freedom we are enjoying, for the sake of our children and humanity, we must fight till our freedom is absolute.
Today, we shall make a tryst with destiny, for the sake of our future and the unborn generation, we shall make a tryst with destiny today. We will do everything within our power to advocate “freedom for all”.
Let your spirit fly high, Let there be freedom in our mind and body, faith in our wards and pride in our soul.
Today, we salute the bravery of our Ilaje Hero’s (OGO-ILAJÉs). Our Women, Technocrats, Professionals, Artisans , Spiritual and Traditional leaders, and above all, The Gwama Generals who fought for the freedom of Ilaje Nation. Ye all are the reason we celebrate Independence Day in Ilaje today.
