2023: APGA Tasks Media Team On Good Works, Affirms No Faction

The All Progressive Ground Alliance (APGA) on Thursday tasked it’s newly constituted media team ahead of the 2023 general election to work hard to ensure party’s victory at the forthcoming polls.

 

Okechukwu, affirmed that there was no faction in the Anambara ruling party, said this in a statement, he signed and made available to newsmen in Lagos.

 


He, told the team that, the party has the best presidential candidate for the forthcoming general election in the person of Justice Peter Umeadi rtd and was banking on the media for electoral victory.

 

The publicity Secretary, acknowledged and appreciated the team’s sacrifices for the party on being in the frontline of projecting the party and Anambra government for many years, urged them to continue protecting and projecting the good image of the party with every sense of passion, commitment and diligence.

 

“APGA is the only political party in Nigeria with good intentions for the people and has the best Presidential Candidate with best and verifiable antecedents.

 

“Your formidable stance toward the party would assist the organisation make an appreciable enroll in other states of the federation at the polls.

 

“Our National Chairman Ozonkpu Victor Ike-Oye was elected with other members of the National Working Committee (NWC ) in a convention held on 31st May 2019 supervised by INEC.

 

“In attendance at convention were the former governor of Anambra state,Chief Willie Obiano,, the 36 chairmen of the state of the federation of APGA party including the FTC, members of State House of Assembly, BOT members and NEC.
At Dora Akunyili Centre in Awka.

 

“The present leadership, headed by Ike-Oye succeeded that led by Mr Chekwas Okorie that ended 2003, afterwhich the past leader left APGA to form another political party, called United Peoples Party (UPP),” he said.

 

He further said that a national chairman of APGA could only come from a properly constituted national convention supervised by the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) that the May 31st 2019 convention that brought in the subsisting party executive met the condition.

 

APGA therefore urged the general public to disregard any other person or group of persons claiming leadership of the party as distraction to cause disharmony in the party.
