By The People’s Voice Nigeria News

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a man identified as Saheed Teyinbo, popularly known as “Alfasuna,” over allegations of sustained cyberbullying and disparaging comments directed at religious clerics.

Teyinbo, who is reportedly a resident of Alakuko, Lagos, was arrested by police operatives following petitions submitted by religious figures who accused him of making offensive and disparaging remarks about them and their religious beliefs.

Following the complaints, the Commissioner of Police in Lagos State, Fatai Tijani, reportedly directed the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Panti, Yaba, to conduct a thorough investigation into the allegations.

One of the petitions was reportedly filed by Prophet Israel Oladele, popularly known as “Prophet Genesis,” a pastor of the Celestial Church of Christ.

According to a police source, Oladele accused Teyinbo of allegedly making disparaging comments about him and his religious beliefs.

Another petition was also reportedly submitted by Alhaji Sheikh Dr Hammed Olanrewaju Alfulanny, an Islamic scholar based around Yaya Abatan Road, Ogba, Lagos.

The source said Alfulanny similarly accused the suspect of making what he described as offensive remarks against his person and religious beliefs.

Police sources further alleged that Teyinbo had previously been wanted by the police in Kwara State, where a warrant of arrest was reportedly issued in connection with alleged cyberbullying complaints involving other religious clerics.

“The suspect was allegedly on the wanted list of the police in Kwara State, where a warrant of arrest had been issued against him.

“The warrant was allegedly connected to cases of cyberbullying involving several other religious clerics,” the source said.

Following his arrest, the suspect was reportedly taken in for questioning and allegedly made statements to investigators regarding the allegations against him.

The police have also reportedly profiled the suspect as investigations continue, while the command is awaiting any additional complaints from individuals who may have been victims of alleged cyber attacks or online harassment linked to him.

The police believe further complaints and evidence, if received, could assist investigators in establishing the full circumstances surrounding the allegations and determining the appropriate legal action.

The command also assured that the investigation would be conducted professionally and in accordance with due process.

The police source stressed that all relevant parties would be given an opportunity to present their evidence before the matter is brought before a court.

As of the time of filing this report, the allegations against Teyinbo remain subject to police investigation and judicial determination.
