HUMAN TRAFFICKING: LNSA WILL JOIN HANDS TO STEM TIDE – GM OYEKAN
The General Manager of the Lagos State Neighborhood Safety Agency, Dr. Ifalade Oyekan has joined his voice to commend the International community for the sustained efforts to reduce Human Trafficking and domestic slavery across board.
In a press statement made available to the National Association of Online Security News Publishers, NAOSNP stated that, “The General Manager of the Lagos State Neighborhood Safety Agency Prince Dr Ifalade Oyekan has commended the International community for the sustained efforts to reduce Human Trafficking and domestic slavery.”
According to statement, “The General Manager said this while addressing participants at the extra ordinary workshop to stem the growth of Human Trafficking in Lagos state and Nigeria as a whole.”
“He affirmed the readiness of the Lagos State Government via the Lagos State Neighborhood Safety Agency to join hands with any organisation and individual to address the menace of human trafficking.”
Prince Oyekan said modern slavery as accentuated by the various indices of human trafficking is an evil that any serious minded person has to be worried about and that the Agency will not relent in it’s effort to meet the ideals of the THEMES Agenda of Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
He concluded that the Lagos State Neighborhood Safety Agency is ready to fight the menace to standstill with the support of all stakeholders.
The seminar has mainly focused on empowering Nigerian Security agencies in the fight against Human Trafficking tagged;
Improved Respond to trafficking in persons Nigeria.
“Strengthening Nigeria’s criminal justice Response to TIP and SOM,(PROMIS)”, has representatives of the Lagos State Ministry of Justice, the Nigeria Police, the National Security Civil Defense Corps and the Immigration Services in attendance.
