It is in this regard and in their honour that I will be starting a trek of 763KM from Lagos to Abuja, he said.
The Trek will start from Lekki Tollgate (Victoria Island) in Lagos and finish at the National Secretariat, Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, cutting across 8 states. The trek was said to commence on Monday, October 3rd, 2022, and was planned to arrive in Abuja on Sunday, November 13th, 2022. Where he will be covering and camping at a minimum distance of 22 kilometres daily with the headline: “TREK FOR HEROES”.
According to Ejeh (Dagogo), the trek is aimed at achieving the following objectives:
• To remember the victims of the previous EndSars protest and other security operations throughout the country.
• Creating a sense of balance in the # EndSarsProtest narrative.
• To feed 800 people in eight states
• To campaign for youth participation in politics as a way to bring about the desired political change.
• Raise funds for people suffering from kidney disease through a collaboration with the Nigeria Association of Nephrology.
Similarly, Dagogo pleaded for corporate and individual sponsorship towards achieving his aim and objectives of the “Trek For Heroes 2022.”
