The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Lagos Sector Command, reports a multiple-vehicle crash that occurred at Kara Bridge, along the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway, at approximately 7:18am today.
A total of seven vehicles were involved in the serious crash, including six Toyota vehicles and a green Mack truck. Preliminary investigations indicate that probable causes of the crash were speed violation.
Five individuals sustained various degrees of injury: one adult male, two adult females, and two female children. No fatalities were recorded.
The injured were promptly taken to winners hospitals at OPIC.
FRSC personnel, in collaboration with sister agencies, are on-site managing traffic and overseeing the ongoing clearance of the obstruction to restore free flow of traffic along the Kara-Opic bridge.
Motorists are advised to be calm to ensure the backlog is taken care of, as the container and other vehicles have been completely removed from the road.
