NAOSNP Mourns Lagos Police DC Administration, DCP Khan Salihu

The National Association of Online Security News Publishers (NAOSNP) has expressed deep sorrow over the death of the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Administration, Lagos State Command, DCP Khan Salihu, who passed away on Monday, June 15, 2026, following a brief illness.
In a statement signed by the Association’s Public Relations Officer, Eric Elezuo, on behalf of the President, Mayor Samson Oki, NAOSNP commiserated with the Nigeria Police Force, the Lagos State Police Command, and the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, Fatai Tijani, over the painful loss.
Late DCP Khan Salihu, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Administration), Lagos State Command, remembered for his dedication, professionalism, and selfless service to the Nigeria Police Force.
The Association described the late DCP Salihu as a highly disciplined and professional officer who carried out his responsibilities with dedication, integrity, and fairness, earning the respect and confidence of both his colleagues and members of the public.
The statement read in part:
“With hearts full of regret, but total submission to the will of Almighty God, we, the members of the National Association of Online Security News Publishers (NAOSNP), commiserate with the entire Nigeria Police Force family, especially the Lagos State Command and its Commissioner, CP Fatai Tijani, on the death of DCP Khan Salihu.
“DCP Salihu was a disciplined officer whose stock-in-trade revolved around professionalism, stewardship, and the commitment to delivering on the security and safety mandate of the Police, particularly in Lagos State, where he died in active service.
“He was an extremely professional senior officer, humble, disciplined, media-friendly, and always willing to offer support.”
NAOSNP noted that the late officer’s contributions to policing and public service would not be forgotten, adding that both the Police institution and the media community would greatly miss his presence and support.
The Association prayed for the repose of his soul and asked Almighty Allah to grant him Aljannatul Firdaus while giving his family, colleagues, and loved ones the strength to bear the irreparable loss.
Similarly, the Lagos State Police Command paid tribute to the late officer, describing him as a dedicated and selfless servant of the nation.
According to the Command:
“DCP Khan Salihu will be fondly remembered for his dedication, humility, professionalism, and selfless service to the nation and the Nigeria Police Force. His legacy of service and commitment will continue to inspire officers and men of the Command.”
DCP Khan Salihu’s passing has been widely mourned across the policing and media communities, where he was known for his accessibility, professionalism, and commitment to duty.
