NNPP: If Ganduje Was Suspended On Grounds Of Corruption, It’s A Welcome Devt

The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) has said if the suspension of the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Abdullahi Ganduje was based on corruption, then it was a welcome idea.

The NNPP National Publicity Secretary, Oladipo Johnson made this remark this while reacting to the controversial suspension of the APC National Chairman.

New Telegraph had earlier reported that the APC National Chairman was on Monday suspended by his ward party executives in Kano State.

However reacting to Ganduje’s suspension, Johnson said, “As at the time the suspension was carried out, l have not read APC constitution. However, we believe that the matter has to do with the internal affairs and internal workings of the party.

“But we might state that if truly the APC is thinking of stamping out corruption from its party by suspending its National Chairman and investigating him, then we must say kudos to them. This is what we need in the country as a whole.

“As you know, the former governor has a matter with members of his family before the court on Wednesday on corruption. So, these processes are on and Nigerians are watching the ruling party to see how they will handle the entire situation.

“But as l said, it is the internal affairs of the APC and l haven’t read their constitution so l don’t know whether those who suspended him could have suspended him or not”
