Osun NSCDC Arraigns Plumber for Stealing Water Taps

 

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Osun state command has arraigned one Adewuyi Jamiu Abiodun (m) 18yrs for stealing seven (7) brass water taps. National Association of Online Security News Publishers, NAOSNP gathered that the suspect was arrested on the 16th of April at Durodola Community, Owode Ede, Osun state at about 1740hrs where he was caught removing two (2) brass water taps.

 

The NSCDC Osun State Command’s Spokesperson, ASC Kehinde Adeleke noted in a press statement e-signed and released to National Association of Online Security News Publishers, NAOSNP stated that ‘At the point of arrest, he had a total number of seven (7) water taps in his possession and discreet investigation further revealed that whenever he steals water taps, he sells the stolen items to buyers of scrap metals.’

 

‘The suspect was arraigned on Monday 22nd of April at magistrate court in Ede, Osun state, before Chief Magistrate V.A Adedokun, where he was sentenced to 3 years imprisonment’, Adeleke added.

 

The Commandant of NSCDC, Osun State Command, Michael Adaralewa hinted that the suspect committed an offence under Section 390 of the Criminal Code Law of Osun State and is, therefore, liable under the law.

 

Commandant Adaralewa also called on parents and guardians to warn their wards to desist from any act capable of bringing their family name into disrepute, saying NSCDC would continue to smoke criminally-minded people out of the state.
