Guaranty Trust Holding Company Plc (GTCO Plc) has announced the 9th edition of its flagship GTCO Food and Drink Festival, scheduled to take place from Friday, May 1 to Sunday, May 3, 2026, at GTCentre, Plot 1 Water Corporation Drive, Oniru, Victoria Island, Lagos.
This year’s theme, “Everything Food and Drink,” reflects the growing scale and cultural depth of the festival, which has evolved into one of Africa’s most recognised culinary gatherings. Beyond a food exhibition, the event serves as a platform for storytelling, creativity, enterprise, and cultural exchange through cuisine.
The three-day festival will feature 204 free retail stalls, showcasing the diversity of Nigeria’s food culture—from traditional recipes passed down through generations to contemporary and international culinary innovations. The organisers say the aim is to create an inclusive space where chefs, food entrepreneurs, and culinary enthusiasts can showcase creativity and connect with a wider audience.
Visitors will experience a wide range of activities, including interactive masterclasses, live cooking demonstrations, food and wine tastings, and a curated marketplace featuring both emerging small and medium-scale food businesses alongside established food brands. The festival will also include a dedicated family-friendly environment with a fully equipped children’s play area and engaging activities designed to ensure an enjoyable experience for all age groups.
Speaking ahead of the 2026 edition, the Group Chief Executive Officer of GTCO Plc, Segun Agbaje, said the festival continues to reflect the institution’s broader commitment to innovation and inclusive growth.
The GTCO Food and Drink Festival has, over the years, become a living expression of what we stand for as an institution: innovation, opportunity, and enterprise that is accessible to all. What makes this platform special is not just its scale, but its humanity. It brings together people from different walks of life around something universal, food and drink and in doing so, it breaks barriers and builds connections that extend far beyond the event itself,” he said.
Since its inception, the GTCO Food and Drink Festival has grown into one of the most prominent culinary events in Africa, attracting participants from across Nigeria and increasingly from other parts of the continent and the diaspora.
Admission to the event remains free, reinforcing GTCO’s commitment to accessibility and community engagement through culture, food, and enterprise.
