Aarebirin Hon. Princess Folashde Olabanji-OBA, delivered an acceptance speech as the National Acting Chairman, Association of Local Government Vice Chairmen of Nigeria
Aarebirin Hon. Princess Folashade Olabanji-Oba has issued her acceptance speech as the newly selected National Acting Chairman of the Association of Local Government Vice Chairmen of Nigeria.

In a press statement e-signed and released to news men, Aarebirin Hon. Princess Folashade Olabanji-Oba in her acceptance speech said: “On behalf of myself, my family, political associates and the good people of Ikorodu local government, Lagos State, I wish to thank the almighty God for the gift of life and the strength given me to pilot the affairs of our great Association before now in the capacity of the Pioneer National Deputy Chairman.”

I wish to appreciate the National Executive Committee headed by our workaholic National Chairman of our association, Hon. Lawrence Onuchukwu, who has just taken a bow due to the expiration of his tenure in office as Deputy Chairman of AMAC in the Federal Capital Territory, and who happens to be the pioneering National Chairman of our great Association. I give God all the glory for the tremendous gift he has given to us as a family. We are forever grateful and thankful.

May I equally use this opportunity to appreciate all members of the National Executive  Committee (NEC) who are National Officials, state chapter Chairmen and National zonal coordinators of our great Association.

Permit me to again appreciate all the esteemed members of our beloved association who are the local government vice chairmen in Nigeria. Distinguished colleagues, today I have been given the mandate to again serve this great Association in another higher capacity as the Acting National Chairman, due to the tenure expiration of our National Chairman to fulfil the constitutional requirement.

I wish to say with clear conscience that I have accepted this responsibility wholeheartedly and I promised to build on the legacies of our outgoing National Chairman, Hon. Lawrence Onuchukwu, who, together with some of us, has done everything possible to sustain this association from its formation to its present status as a pioneer National Chairman, and my humble self as a pioneer National Deputy Chairman.

As you may be aware, this association is yet to acquire its financial stability due to the present economic status in the country, which has affected many sectors, not leaving out the third tier of government, which has given birth to us. What this means is that, for us to achieve our set goals and aspirations, there must be absolute commitment from all members.

I hereby call on all of you to support me with your prayers, ideas, and any other support that is required of us in order to take this noble association to an enviable greater height.

To achieve this, we must show a high level of commitment in all the activities and functions of our association. We must also be generous in supporting our programs, like our National Chairman and some of us distinguished members do. God bless us all. Amen.

As we prepare to again hold our National Conference in a few months to come, and as the C.P.C. Chairman of the Conference, I will appreciate your various contributions and support in order to have another wonderful conference this year. We shall build on the shortfalls and challenges encountered in the last convention in order to have a better one.

We will accomplish all of this without stress and with your usual maximum cooperation. Distinguished colleagues, in conclusion, let me once again pledge my total loyalty to our great association.

As a believer of God and a good student of history, I am optimistic that history will always remember all of us for our various support and contributions towards the actualization of this Noble association. For this I am forever grateful and thankful.

Long live Federal Republic of Nigeria!!!

Long live Association of Local Government vice chairmen of Nigeria!!!

Long live all the members of this great Association!!!
